Expansion of the Mtetwa Empire 1807-1818

In 1807, Dingiswayo came to the throne of the Mtetwa Empire (reigned ca. 1807-18); in southeastern Africa, he quickly expanded against his neighbors.

In 1811 Dingiswayo brought the Buthelezi and the other Zulu clans, including that led by Senzangakona, into his Mtetwa Empire.
