Muscat Expansion 1822-1824

In 1822 Sayyid Sa'id of Muscat, allied with Britain, expanded in East Africa (1822-24), taking Pemba and threatening Mombasa, making repeated failed attacks.

In 1824 the Muscat ruler Sayyid Sa'id took control of the East African port of Pate.
